The Black Leopard is set in 18K Gold with a Tsavorite. (Green Garnet) As a child, my parents took my sister and I on a Sunday outing to the San Francisco Zoo. I can remember standing, totally entranced, watching a black leopard laying in the shade in his outside habitat. I was holding my father's hand, wonderinig in silence why this magnificent creature was called a leopard when he had no spots. As if on cue, he stood up, stretched languidly as only a Big Cat can and strolled into the sunlight. Magically, his spots appeared, glimmering in the bright summer sun. I will never forget that moment, it was a gift that I will always treasure. 30 years later, I heard that those spots are called Melamystic. It seems a fitting name.
